The Gentlemen of the Gentleman's Magazine 1831-1832

The 8th instalment of The Gentlemen of the Gentleman's Magazine. By 1831 George IV (pictured left) had passed away and the crown was now in the hands of his brother, William IV, who had the nickname 'Silly Billy'. The names below are of gentlemen married between 1831 and 1832. Names of some father-in-laws have also been included.

Hensleigh was the fourth son of Josiah Wedgwood II and cousin to Charles Darwin. Hensleigh's younger sister, Emma, later married Darwin in 1839.
