Brazil: The Mothers

File:João Batista da Costa - Gruta Azul.jpg

Continuing on with the Brazil series, we now look towards the mothers. As I mentioned in The Brazilian Way, the birth announcements always include the parents' names, which is a fantastic way to see what names an earlier generation were saddled with. The names below are the names of the mothers of the babies I mentioned in the two earlier Brazilian posts, and they're the names I remember from my stay in Brazil - they are like nothing you will find anywhere else in the world. I've split them into rough groups for easier reading.
